Intermediate Class
1st (187 points) - Entry No. 20: Grenfields Miracle Boy (Golden Retriever) owned by Tan Ching Loong
Lost points in Heel Free because of some lagging at fast pace and at the about turn and figure-of-eight. The sits were at times out of position, as well as the down at the end. Lost three points in Distant Control for moving half a body length. Lost one point each in Drop On Recall, Retrieve On Flat, Retrieve Over High Jump and Broad jump because of sitting out of position. Scored full marks for Stand For Temperament Test, Sit Stay and Down Stay.
Failed (152 points) - Entry No. 18: Taipingken Heldig (GSD0 owned by Max Lee Tiong Huat
Failed due to scoring zero in Retrieve Over High Jump because of jumping only one direction and also for not sitting in front and at the finish. Managed to get through the Heel Free with 19 points due to repeated lagging as well as missing a sit. Lost five points in Broad Jump because of clipping the jump. Scored full marks for Stand For Temperament Test, Drop On Recall, Distant Control, Sit Stay and Down Stay.
Failed (143 points) - Entry No. 22: Steppenwolf Mali’s Anna (Malinois) owned by Yap Hon Chong
This dog failed the Temperament Test because of nervousness. It also failed in the Distant Control, missing the sit and stand. What I appreciated in this dog was its smart down during the heel exercise. However, it lagged at the about turn and figure-of-eight. The sits and stands were at times out of position. In the Drop On Recall, the sit in front was out of position and the finish was awkward. Lost points in Retrieve On Flat, Retrieve Over High Jump and Broad Jump because of sitting out of position. Full marks for Sit Stay and Down Stay.
Failed (118 points) - Entry No. 16: Rose Of Festive (Golden Retriever) owned by Patricia Chen Siew Peng
Failed the Distant Control when it missed the stand. Failed the Retrieve Over High Jump when it jumped in only one direction. Also failed the Down Stay (the dog crawled more than its body length when the handler was out of sight). Somehow, this team did not perform quite as confidently as they did in the previous class. The dog missed a down when it stood during Heel Free. There was also some lagging at the left turn and at the beginning of the figure-of-eight. Had no problem with the Temperament Test, Broad Jump and Sit Stay.
Open Class
Both entries did not qualify in this class. Entry No. 19 failed in Heel Work when it missed the stand during stand in motion. Entry No. 23 failed in Distant Control, Send Away and Scent Discrimination.
